In March 2022, Mascot burst onto the Malaysian indie music scene with their debut EP, Penutup. Rooted in Midwest Emo, these four tracks resonated deeply, hinting at the band’s potential. Just two months later, in June 2022, Mascot released their full-length debut album, Permulaan. With ten captivating tracks, they blended punchy rhythms, lively melodies, and indie sensibilities, earning critical acclaim and establishing themselves as rising stars.

Now, in their fourth studio project, aptly titled “IV,” Mascot pushes boundaries. Drawing inspiration from bands like One Ok Rock and Issues, they explore a modern rock sound that defies conventions while staying true to their unique identity.
